A Mint alternative that doesn't depend on bank sync
Intuit shut Mint down in early 2024 and pointed users to Credit Karma. MyWallet is a free expense tracker you can use instead: it doesn't connect to your bank, so there's no aggregator to break, and expenses are logged in seconds by voice, receipt photo, Apple Pay or bank notifications. You see where your money went and what's left each month.
What Mint users usually miss, and what MyWallet does
- Seeing spending by category each month: yes, with a monthly summary and dashboard.
- Income and what's left: yes, tracked side by side, with a forecast of what you'll save.
- Budgets with alerts: yes, per category (Pro).
- Automatic imports from the bank: no. MyWallet replaces them with fast capture: speak, snap, or let Apple Pay and bank notifications log purchases.
Bring your history
If you kept a CSV export from Mint, or have one from your bank, import it in MyWallet under Profile → Import expenses. Duplicates are skipped.
Price
Free for tracking. Pro is US$4.99/month or US$39.99/year, free for 14 days with no card.
Questions
Why doesn't MyWallet connect to banks like Mint did?
Bank connections need your login shared with an aggregator, break often and import late. MyWallet keeps your login private and makes logging fast instead.
